Developing Teams

Do your teams have the skills and tools to achieve outstanding results?

Developing Teams

Why are effective teams more productive?

In any organization, there are two requirements for success.

  • SMART PEOPLE.  These individuals are hired and promoted with knowledge and experience in strategy, marketing, finance, technology and other areas.   These are all the "hard" skills to do the job.
  • HEALTHY ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE.  A healthy culture includes effective teamwork.    Effective teamwork allows an organization to minimize politics, minimize confusion, have high employee morale and productivity with low turnover.   These are the "soft" skills of interpersonal communication, productive conflict, and the like. This requirement has the most weight.   A healthy team will figure out how to be smart, but a smart team with no teamwork will not be effective.

Teaching new and existing teams about interpersonal communication, group dynamics, problem-solving and effective decision-making, conflict resolution, personal productivity and time management can improve their efficiency and effectiveness as they learn and grow together.

Working with High Performance Teams in the early formation stages, we help establish a clear charter, design the teams work processes, identify roles and systems while they build communication, trust, cohesion, and synergy.

We use a variety of Assessment Tools to help individuals and teams discover themselves and how they can work together more effectively.  Refer to http://www.fivebehaviors.com/MTMPerformanceSolutionsInc for more information.

"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results." - Andrew Carnegie
